“Floss, floss, floss—you can never floss too much.” That is the mantra of Mary from Downtown Dental Associates. Mary’s interest in dentistry began in the early 1970’s. She attended school to become a hygienist in 1973, but life got in the way. She eventually bought and ran two child care centers for 13 years. She sold the centers to go to hygienist school at what is now Florida State College in Jacksonville. While there she was vice president of Phi Theta Kappa. Mary joined Downtown Dental Associates in August 2001.
Mary has two sons and two grandsons. Her passion is traveling, which has taken her to Cuba (where her husband is from), Costa Rica, Jamaica, Cozumel, Maine, California, and of course, Disney. She also enjoys restoring old cars and is working on a 1968 Olds. She also owns a 2003 Corvette.
